This is my first time visiting your website and i have no idea what it is you guys do. I was just curious if your group allows outside people to do speaking events and what kind of topics are allowed?

    Hey Adam,
Check out the about section. We meet on Tuesday night at Ohio State to discuss topics ranging from suffering and God to how CHristians should relate to culture.

As for outside events, I think that greatly depends. What do you have in mind?

I had you pictured as a brunette, not as a blonde.

Hey Mr. Author-Man–when you are going to start spelling “Panel” correctly? Because your repeated spelling “Panal” makes me want to go all Freudian on your…psyche. haha

A few years in San Diego, there was a Christian Ladies meeting in an are of town that had gangs and violence. Many of the ladies arrived early and decided to pray for the area. They joined hands
and bowed their heads to pray. Soon, a security guard came and told them to “stop praying as it was not legal for them to pray on public property.” They dropped their hands, and raised their heads and whispered prayers asking God to bring peace to the area. The guard returned and told them he knew they were still praying and he would call the police if they continued. I call this Christian persecution. Public libraries have hired Muslims who bow down several times a day to Allah and are not being persecuted or told to STOP. What do you think of that????

“What do you think of that????” – Mary S.

I would say I think you probably made that up. Barring that, I’d say you heard it through a grapevine that started with someone making that up or embellishing some facts or ignoring others. Barring that possibility, I would say that it was one security guard who didn’t understand the separation of church and state, and was erring on the side of caution. Barring that, I’d assume that the allegedly benevolent Christians likely were antagonizing him as they are occasionally wont to do. Barring even that, I would say that I have no idea why you would be posting this anecdote in a completely unrelated post about pictures from a religious panel.

Also, I’d point out that there are some wonderful articles here (written by clergy, mind you) about why Christians like you should stop making claims of being persecuted in America. You should seek them out, because your current commentary seems a little unnecessarily… paranoid and alarmist, shall we say?

At the very least, it’s a Poe’s Law scenario to be sure.
