I get Email…

November 30, 2009

I got a very nice email from Robert Luhn, Communications Director for the National Center for Science Education.

He writes, “Just read the postings on your site about the “Ray Comfort debacle”.
Hence this note!

You might alert your readers about the National Center for Science
Education. The NCSE was heavily involved in the organized response to
Comfort, from an online debate (on US News and World Report’s web site)
to aiding activists at various colleges in the U.S. and Canada. Our web
site dedicated to the campaign––has alot of
resources, from a detailed debunking of the Comfort intro, to some
whimsical tools (including the NCSE Safety Bookmark and an
“instructional” video).

The NCSE is the leading organization that promotes and defends the
teaching of evolution in the public schools. (You might have seen us
covered in the Nova documentary “Judgment Day: Intelligent Design on
Trial”.) We’ve been involved in the issue for 25 years, and we’re a
ready resource should you ever need background information, access to
independent experts (local and national), and more, for any future
articles you might write about evolution, creationism/ID, science
denial, or related topics.”

So, Thomas fans, check out their site. There is a good video from Ken Miller over there.

Huh, he left a similar comment over on my blog in my post about Comfort and the distribution of his version of Origin.
