Saturday Rest

August 29, 2009

Hey Everyone,

Kind of taking a break today. But, here is a link to a fantastic website I found for a group called the American Scientific Affiliation. Here is how they describe their group:

is a fellowship of men and women in science and disciplines that relate to science who share a common fidelity to the Word of God and a commitment to integrity in the practice of science. In matters of science and Christian faith, we offer Christian scholarship, education, fellowship and service to ASA members, churches, educational institutions, the scientific community, and society.

I have seen a lot of Christian group websites. This, in spite of the less than stellar design, is one of the best for information. It presents articles for both sides on a particular question and allows readers to make up their own minds.

Happy Saturday Reading.

Hey Jonathan, I think this website might interest you. It’s from an ex christian minister from Ohio who is now an atheist.

    Jeff,
Welcome to the blog. But, I would ask that if you post links that they are relevant to the particular topic being discussed. But, for now, we will keep it here.

No more off topic than the first post.

    Fair enough.

Hey everyone, if you have a link you want everyone to read, post it on a relevant topic. That way, we can avoid confusion. Thanks.

Hey Jonathan, perhaps also if there’s no relevant topic they could email the link to you to post as a new topic at your discretion (acknowledging them for the submission, of course).

Also, Jeff, I’m not Catholic and I won’t make excuses for the abuses in that video. But for a show that’s trying to get at the truth, they sure mangled the concept of Papal Infallibility.

Or just keep an occasional open thread or links thread around.
